Inter-American Business Seminars organizes executive programs for Latin American business executives and thought leaders who want to expand their knowledge, improve their expertise and get up to date with the latest trends in business and technology. Our seminars take place in Chicago in a University setting and include lectures by MBA academics, business visits, executive talks, networking and more.
We also coordinate short-term faculty led study abroad summer programs for Latin American business students. During these programs students experience American academics, attend university lectures, stay in university housing and have the opportunity to interact with top business executives, thought leaders, and innovative entrepreneurs in Chicago. Our seminar exposes students to a wide array of industries, business executives and corporations enhancing leadership and global understanding.

FOUNDER & CEO
Jimena is a former media executive with over 16 years of business experience. She was the first woman to serve as General Manager of Impremedia | La Raza Newspaper since the paper opened its doors in 1970. During her tenure the publication was considered Chicago’s leading Spanish-language newspaper and among the largest and oldest Sunday Hispanic newspapers in the United States.
As GM she was in charge of directing all day-to-day operations for the publication and was responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget. During her tenure she led and directed strategic marketing programs that accelerated the growth of La Raza’s brand. Its audience increased by 27% year over year and local sales grew by 19%. In 2015 La Raza was nationally recognized by Editor & Publisher as one of the top “10 Newspapers That Do It Right.” In addition it was recognized by the National Association of Hispanic Publications as the “Best Spanish Language Weekly.”
Jimena also worked at Univision Chicago, where where she oversaw community partnerships for two TV Stations and four radio stations. As part of this role she developed CSR strategies and implemented community outreach and awareness programs that aligned with Univision corporate empowerment platforms.
Jimena holds a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University Chicago, a B.S. in International Business and B.A. in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University. She has a passion for international education and has studied in four different countries.
